How Dutch Auctions Work | Explainer Video
Here’s a scripted motion piece we put together to describe how Dutch Auctions work. A Dutch Auction is a mechanism by which assets (in this case Algo crypto tokens) are sold to all auction participants at the same price, with price determined by the total amount of money committed. The Algo is the native token of the Algorand blockchain, launched into global supply June 2019.
Explainer videos are a team effort. In this case, our client Algorand provided a script and storyboard with design elements we could work with: fonts, colors, icons, logos, layout, and direction on stock video. There was still plenty to figure out though…pieces like this are timed down to the frame, and that’s 30 frames per second. This 3 minute piece required about a week of intense animation effort and decision making.
